When I saw the advertisement in my local paper, I thought it was too good to be true. I didn't even know what the job was but I called anyway. I got hired by Paramount Promotions, Inc. that year. I helped sell fireworks that first year in a couple different locations and have been doing it ever since. It is a really fun job. I am in charge of myself and my location. (I get to have adult contact!) And it is a short summer job, so I can still relax and enjoy myself. And the best part . . . I don't have to tie anyone's shoes!!! :)

People get excited about coming to buy fireworks, especially the kids. That is fun to see. The job is not real difficult, especially if you like to build things, i.e. arranging the fireworks into designs on the tables. If you like organization, this is a great job. Most of the people that come into the tent are pleasant--that's fun.

I like the job because it's pretty relaxing . . . you get to sit out there and when the people come into the tent, you get to interest them in buying the fireworks. I enjoy being able to work with people and help them pick out fireworks they will like. It's a short job and it pays well. It's really great to work with the people.
